In what order should I read Thomas Harris’s “Hannibal Lecter” books?
I bought all 4 books (Red Dragon, Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal Rising, and Hannibal), and I’d like to know the best order in which to read them: The order in which they were written, or by following the age of the Hannibal character?

I would recommend reading them in the order they were written (Red Dragon, Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal and Hannibal Rising). I have to disagree with the first poster that Hannibal Rising isn’t good, I enjoyed it, but not nearly as much as some of the others. If you wanted to read the books by the age of the Hannibal character than read: Hannibal Rising, Red Dragon, Silence of the Lambs and then Hannibal. Although I really don’t recommend reading the books that way.
