Phillip Margolin
Looking for some suggestions….read alikes?

I posted this question a little while ago but I guess since it has nothing to do with twilight it is not worthy of answers……..

I am an avid fan of Authors such as Michael Connelly, John Connolly, Jeffery Deaver and Phillip Margolin…does anyone have any suggestions as to other Authors who write in the same style or about the same things. I really like the serial killer angles. Thanks :)

Those are some of my mother’s favorite authors. She loves serial killer mysteries. Some of her other favorites are James Patterson, Iris Johansen, Steve Martini, David Baldacci, Jonathan Kellerman, Lisa Scottoline, John Sandford, and many others. A couple other authors in this genre are Patricia Cornwell and Kathy Reichs.

I know that James Patterson is at the top of her list; she especially enjoys his two series, the Women’s Murder Club, which have numbers in the titles (1st to Die, 4th of July, etc.) and the ones with Alex Cross, which all have titles based on nursery rhymes (Along Came a Spider, Kiss the Girls). If you like young adult fiction, he also has a series called Maximum Ride. (I read a lot of YA books, and I gave it a try but didn’t like the style of writing. But they’re very popular books.)

Lee Child is another writer she loves, but he doesn’t write serial killer books; from what she’s said, they’re more like action spy thrillers. If that sounds appealing to you, you might also like Robert Ludlum. She’s also read all of Dan Brown’s books (The Da Vinci Code, etc.) and some similar books by other authors (historical thrillers? I don’t know what to call them) such as Raymond Khoury and Douglas Preston.

I don’t read these books myself, but hopefully something in these suggestions will be new to you.
